Martin Densham (Lt Cdr RN (Rtd))

Lt Cdr Martin Densham MA (Cantab) MSc FRGS RN (Rtd): Ex-Royal Navy Warfare Officer and Oceanographer / Meteorologist who was the science coordinator for the British Services Antarctic 'Spirit of Scott' Expedition in 2012. On that expedition he was one of the eight team members that successfully crossed the Antarctic Plateau on foot. He has mountaineering experience in Europe, Nepal and N America, and most recently climbed Mt Lobouche in the Himalayas. He has a MSc in Oceanography from the US Naval Postgraduate School and is a member of the World Meteorological Organisation. Now residing in the USA he is the assistant science co-ordinator for the expedition, with a focus on liaison with US scientific organisations.
